Impressive Limoges vase with roses. This large and lovely vase is hand painted with deep red, white, and pink roses and foliage on a ground of white and pale blue. The rim of the vase is decorated with rich gold gilding, and sponged gilding adorns the upper neck of the vase, just below the gilded mouth opening. The artist's initials appear next to the cluster of roses, but they are difficult to read (please refer to the photo). The vase is marked with the La Porcelaine Limousine underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1905-late 1930's. It stands a stately 13 ½" tall and measures 8" in diameter at its widest point. With no chips, cracks, or restoration, this impressive antique vase is in excellent condition.
