Lovely vintage vase with pansies. This elegant blank features a fluted mouth along with a flowing, raised design on the body of the vase. Though unmarked, the vase has the look and feel of fine European translucent porcelain, and is most likely Austrian or Bavarian in origin. It is expertly hand painted with colorful pansies in shades of yellow, purple, lavender, blue, and mauve. Background colors are pastel shades of yellow, blue, green, and pink. The fluted mouth of the vase is decorated with vibrant gold gilding that is in excellent condition. The very talented artist has initialed the vase, A. C. S., near one of the pansies. The vase stands 8 ½" tall and measures 5 ½" across at its widest point. With no chips, cracks, or restoration, this vintage vase is in excellent condition. Petite Austrian squat vase with pansies. This tiny vase measures 4 ½" in diameter and stands 2 3/8" tall. It is marked with the Oscar & Edgar Gutherz manufacturer's mark in green, circa early 1900's. The vase is expertly hand painted with lifelike pansies in shades of purple, lavender, yellow, and amber. The mouth of the vase is decorated with vibrant gold gilding that is in excellent condition. The artist's initials, E. S., appear on the bottom of the vase. With no chips, cracks, or repairs, this charming antique vase is in excellent condition.

Rare Limoges vase with wild roses. This unusual vase features double, leaf-shaped handles, a scalloped and ribbed base, and a very irregular and ornate upper rim. It is beautifully hand painted, front and back, with trailing wild roses in shades of fuchsia and soft pink. The roses have raised enamel highlights in their centers. Background colors are off-white, muted green, taupe, and blue. The irregular rim is decorated with gold gilding that is in good condition, with wear noted to the many high points of the upper rim. The vase is marked with the Latrille Freres underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1899-1913. It stands 10 ¼" tall and measures 6 ½" in diameter. With no chips, cracks, or repairs, this lovely antique vase is in excellent condition.

Pretty and petite Limoges footed vase. This bulbous vase measures 5 ½" in diameter at its widest point, and is 4 ¾" tall. Its base measures 3" in diameter and is marked with the Laviolette Factory underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1896-1905. The vase is hand painted with beautifully executed pink roses and greenery on a soft white and pale green background. The scalloped rim is trimmed with gold gilding that does show slight wear. The vase is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or repairs.

Outstanding Limoges portrait vase, signed Henriot. This petite vase stands slightly less than 7 ¾" tall and measures 2 ¾" in diameter at the base. The fabulous artwork that adorns this vase is amazing. Signed by listed French-factory artist, Henriot, the scene is of a lovely young woman collecting water from a hillside spring. The woodland setting is beautiful in its detail, with dense trees, shrubs, grasses, and flowers surrounding the entire vase and framing the beautiful portrait. The upper and base rims of the vase are decorated with rich gold gilding that is in excellent condition. The vase is marked with the P. M. Mavaleix underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1908-1914. The Blakeman and Henderson overglaze exporting mark, in green, also appears on the bottom of the vase. With no chips, cracks, or restoration, this superb example of Limoges factory-decorated porcelain is in excellent condition.

It is hand painted on both sides with delicate pink geraniums and foliage on a ground of pink blush, peach, sky blue, and mint green. The ornate rim is decorated with rich gold gilding that is in excellent condition, with very minor wear noted to the high points of the rim. The artist, C. Rooke, has signed the vase. Charming Austrian vase with birds. This wonderful vase is hand painted with three colorful, red-throated birds enjoying the ripe red berries in a holly tree. The birds, in vibrant shades of red, brown, black, yellow, and white, are lovely against a background of silky tan, gray, and peach. The mouth of the vase is painted a rich caramel brown. The talented artist has signed and dated the bottom of the vase, Leonie Schmals, 1912. The vase stands 10 ½" tall and measures 3 ½" in diameter. It is marked with the Leonard Vienna Austria factory mark, circa 1900. With no chips, cracks, or restoration, this adorable vase is in excellent condition.

Charming Rosenthal portrait vase with roses. This outstanding hand painted vase features a young woman holding a bonnet of flowers on one side and cascading pink wild roses and foliage on the other side. Background colors include olive green, mint green, blue, pink, and yellow. The small mouth of the vase is decorated with gold gilding. The artist, F. M. Standish, has signed the side of the vase. The vase stands just over 9" tall and is marked with the Rosenthal, Bavaria, underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1898-1906. A raised mold mark does extend down one side of the vase. It is under the painted surface and does not detract from the beauty of the vase. This charming vintage vase is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or restoration.

Exquisite Limoges vase with iris. This gorgeous trumpet-shaped vase is hand painted with fuchsia and lavender ruffled iris and greenery on a translucent ground of brown, amber, taupe, and almond. This wonderfully translucent pallet gives the vase the appearance of being lit from within. The mouth of the vase is decorated with brushed gold gilding. The vase stands an impressive 13 ½" tall and measures 6 ½" in diameter at its widest point. It is marked with the Remy Delinieres and Company underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1894-1900, as well as the Bernardaud and Company overglaze decorating mark in red, circa 1900-1930's. The vase is flawless with the exception of a tiny gap in the brushed gilding on the inner rim. This is underglaze, does not display, and does not take away from the beauty of this wonderful antique Limoges vase.

Exquisite Limoges ewer with roses. This expertly hand painted ewer is decorated with large yellow and pink roses and foliage on a ground of off-white, powder blue, soft mint green, and peach. The mouth of the ewer is decorated with gold gilding that is in excellent condition. This stately ewer stands 16 ¾" tall to the top of the elegant handle and measures 6" in diameter at it widest point. It is marked with the Jean Pouyat Factory underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1890-1932. Wonderful Limoges vase with chrysanthemums. This rare cone-shaped vase is hand painted with dainty chrysanthemums in shades of pink, white, and purple. They have raised enamel centers that give them great depth and dimension. The background is a beautiful blending of varied shades of green, lavender, peach, blue, and mauve. This beauty stands 11 ¾" tall on a base that measures 3 ½" in diameter. It is marked with the Klingenberg and Dwenger underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1890's-1910. Lovely and delicate Limoges handled vase. This antique vase is delicately hand painted with pastel colored morning glories that trail around the entire exterior. The wonderful gold gilding is in very good condition, with minimal wear around the neck of the vase. This beauty measures 10" tall and is 6" from handle to handle. It is initialed on the bottom by the artist, L. A. T. It bears the green underglaze white ware mark of the Jean Pouyat Factory, circa 1890-1932. This beautiful vase is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or repairs.

The mouth of the vase is decorated with rich gold gilding that is in excellent condition, with minor wear noted to the inner mouth rim. The very talented artist, E. S. Beautiful American studio decorated vase with chrysanthemums. This vase features a scalloped rim and foot along with front and back panels. The panels are framed with beadwork and an elegant sculpted design. Both panels are expertly hand painted with realistic chrysanthemums in pastel shades of yellow and pink. Background colors are white, pale blue, and lavender. A vibrant rusty red shade covers the side panels and upper portion of the vase. Heavily applied gold gilding accents the rim, foot, and raised relief border. The gilding is in excellent condition. The artist's signature, S. Sherratt, appears on the bottom of the vase. Under the artist's signature, the date, "1898" is etched underglaze. The Sherratt Studio was located in Washington, D. C. The vase stands 6 ¼" tall and measures 6" across at its widest point. It is marked with the Delinieres (D & Co.) underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1894-1900. With no chips, cracks, or repairs, this lovely antique vase is in excellent condition.

Wonderful Limoges vase with European city scene and wild roses. This large moon-shaped vase stands 8 ¾" tall, 9 ¼" wide, and 3" deep. One side of the vase features a realistic city scene, while the opposite side is decorated with vibrant pink wild roses and greenery on an ivory ground. The mouth and foot of the vase are decorated with vibrant gold gilding as well as burnished gold. The gilding is in excellent condition with minor loss noted on top of the mouth rim. The vase is marked with the Tressemann and Vogt overglaze decorating mark in red, circa early 1880's. It also bears the mark of the American importer, Ovington Bros. With no chips, cracks, or repairs, this unusual and rare antique vase is in excellent condition.

Beautiful Limoges jardiniere with roses. This jardiniere sits on four ornate feet and has a pierced collar. The feet and collar are painted a deep green and are accented with vibrant gold highlights. The gilding is in excellent condition, with minor wear noted to the high points of the upper rim of the jardiniere. Two hand painted cameos appear on opposite sides of the jardiniere's green collar. One cameo features a portrait of a lovely young woman. The second cameo contains a small bouquet of pink roses. The body of the jardiniere is hand painted with life-like pink roses and foliage on ground of white, pink, and pale blue. The very talented artist has signed and dated the base of the jardiniere, "Esther 1897". The jardiniere measures 8 ¼" in diameter and stands 7 ¼" tall to the top of the rim. It is marked with the Martial Redon underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1891-1896. With no chips, cracks, or restoration, this lovely antique jardiniere is in excellent condition.

Wonderfully large Limoges vase with poppies. This unmarked Limoges vase stands a stately 16" tall and measures 12" from handle to handle. This blank was manufactured by the Coiffe factory, circa 1891-1914. It is hand painted, front and back, with vibrant burnt orange poppies and greenery on a ground of ivory, green, amber, and brown. The ornate handles are decorated with rich gold gilding that is in excellent condition. The artist has initialed and dated the vase on the bottom, M. M. C. '13 (for 1913). With no chips, cracks, or restoration, this outstanding antique vase is in excellent condition.

Magnificent Limoges vase decorated by the Ravenwood Company. This vase is expertly hand painted with large life-like chrysanthemums in vibrant shades of fuchsia, sunny yellow, and white. Background colors are a masterful blending of teal blue, mauve, yellow, lavender, mint green, and chocolate brown. The plentiful petals of the mums feature white, raised enamel highlights, giving them a three-dimensional appearance. The base rim and ornate mouth rim of the vase are decorated with rich gold gilding that shows minor wear on the high points of the upper rim. The very talented artist, H. Finn, has signed the vase near the lower rim. This large piece stands 15" tall and rests on a 6 ½" diameter base. It is marked with the William Guerin underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1900-1932. The vase also bears the remnants of the black Ravenwood decal. This was the mark of the H. P. Sinclaire Glass Company, circa 1900-1914. This company was located in Corning, New York. With no chips, cracks, or restoration, this exceptional vase is in excellent condition.

Lush greenery provides the perfect backdrop for the layers of colorful flowers. Backgrounds colors are a beautiful blending of lavender, sunny yellow, blushing pink, and deep purple. The mouth rim and base rim of the vase are decorated with gold gilding that is in excellent condition. The vase is marked with the Flambeau China (L. D. B. & Co.) overglaze decorating mark in green, circa 1890's-1900's. This beautifully shaped vase stands 13 ½" tall and measures 7" in diameter at its widest point. Elegant Leonard Royal Austria vase with roses. This tall and slender vase stands 15 ¼" tall and measures 6 ½" in diameter at its widest point. The graceful and slender neck of the vase is fluted at the top. The vase is hand painted with delicate pink and deep red roses and foliage. Background colors blend from dark to pastel shades of teal blue, olive and lime green, purple, lilac, blue, apricot, and yellow. The fluted mouth is decorated with sponged gold gilding. This lovely vintage vase is in mint condition, with no chips, cracks, or restoration.

Wonderful Limoges lamp with violets. This lamp was originally fueled by oil, but is has been converted to electricity. It is hand painted with purple violets and greenery on a ground of white and mint green. Gold gilding adorns the raised relief areas of the lamp, and the gilding show minor wear on the base rim. The lamp measures 10" tall to the top of its "original" threaded, brass fitting. PLEASE NOTE: This lamp has been fitted with a new electric brass lamp fixture that holds an amber glass shade. The height of the lamp to the top of the amber shade is 19". The lamp is marked with the Delinieres & Co. underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1894-1900. Lovely Limoges pillow vase with poppies. This charming pillow vase is hand painted with vibrant orange poppies and greenery on a ground of mint green, pale blue, tan, milk chocolate brown, and mauve. The ornate handles and beautifully shaped rim of the vase are decorated with rich gold gilding that is in excellent condition. There is an inscription on the bottom of the vase that reads "A. R. McGinnis to M. E. Kalbach Christmas 1906". The vase is marked with the Jean Pouyat underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1890-1932. It measures 8" from handle to handle and stands 6 ¾" tall at the rim. This beautiful antique vase is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or repairs.

Monumental and impressive Limoges potpourri jar or urn. This wonderful potpourri jar stands a stately 19 ½" tall to the top of the finial and measures 8" in diameter at its widest point. It is marked with the William Guerin underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1891-1900. Decoration on the jar features an entirely hand painted portrait of a romantic,Victorian couple in elegant period attire. The lovely Victorian lady is wearing a flowing dress with layer upon layer of white and lavender chiffon. Her dress appears to have a train, and she is holding a bouquet of white roses. The handsome Victorian gentleman is wearing a suit of Royal purple, as well as a gilded vest complete with gold buttons. Raised white enamel highlights give the period clothing a very natural and real appearance. The couple is standing on an outdoor stairway, with a natural woodland setting in the background. On the opposite side of the jar is a lovely outdoor setting with large trees in the foreground and a quaint castle in the background. The very talented artist, J. Polley, has signed the piece. Encircling the base, neck, and lid of the potpourri jar are garlands of multi-colored roses and greenery. Lovely gold gilding covers the base rim, mouth rim, finial, and edges of the reticulated diamond-shaped and circular openings in the jar's lid. The gilding is in very good condition with minor wear noted to the rims and finial. There is one small, shallow fleck on the outside of the drop-in portion of the lid and one minute fleabite on the rim of the lid. Neither defect is visible when lid is in place. Magnificent and ornate Imperial Crown China vase. This large pillow vase features a scalloped rim and base along with ornate handles. The front panel of the vase is decorated with an A. Kauffman classic, country scene with two women and a man. Above and below the country scene are three separate floral cameos, featuring dainty roses, daisies, and forget-me-nots. The back of the vase is decorated with two additional floral cameos. Detailed gold work frames each of the cameos. Intricate gold designs, along with three bright blue bands, encircle the body, neck, and mouth of the vase. The gold gilding on the edges of the handles shows some wear, and there is minor fading to some of the intricate gold design in a few places. This minor wear does not in any way detract from the beauty of the piece. The vase stands 8 ¾" tall and measures 10" from handle to handle. It is marked with the overglaze decorating mark of Imperial Crown China, Austria, along with the Vienna, Austria underglaze white ware mark, circa early 1900's. The handles and four ball feet are decorated with gold gilding that is in excellent condition, showing minimal wear. The body of the cachepot measures 9 ½" tall, 8 ¼" wide, and 4 ¾" deep. Lovely Limoges cachepot with natural marshland or seaside scene. This cachepot or vase sits on four round gilded feet and features gilded loop handles. The base rim, top rim, and side panels are outlined with lovely gold gilding. All of the gilding is in excellent condition. The cachepot stands 6 ¾" tall. It is entirely hand painted on both sides. One side features cranes in flight over a sunlit marshland. On the other side, cranes are feeding at the water's edge. The hand painting is expertly done on a ground of beautifully blended pastels in shades of blue, yellow, pink, mauve, and green. The artist, B. H. Perry, has signed and dated the cachepot on the bottom. Also on the bottom of the cachepot is the factory mark of the William Guerin Company, circa 1900-1932. The original cloth cord was cracked, making it unsafe to use. It has been replaced and will accompany the lamp when it is shipped to the purchaser. There is one minute flake, pin head size, on the top rim of the porcelain base (please see photo 4 and 5). This beautiful lamp has no other damage or flaws.

Fantastic Limoges pillow vase with daffodils. Both sides of this lovely vase are beautifully hand painted with white daffodils and foliage on a ground of blended shades of green. The ornate, scalloped opening is decorated with gold gilt, as are the high points on the handles. The vase is signed on the bottom by the artist, Pierce. It is marked with the Jean Pouyat underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1890-1932. The vase stands 7" tall and measures 8" from handle to handle. This vase is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or repairs.

Stunning vintage hand painted lamp. This beautiful brass and porcelain lamp is expertly hand painted and signed by Chicago studio artist, C. F. Koenig. Koenig painted for the Pickard, Brauer, and Donath studios and also established his own studio in 1915. The lamp is decorated with vivid purple morning glories on a yellow-green background. The small leaves in the background are green, but the larger leaves in the foreground are done in gold gilt, as are the stems. The lamp has not been disassembled to view any factory or decorator marks that might be there. The porcelain portion of the lamp measures 10 ½" tall and is 6 ½" in diameter at it widest point. The lamp measures 26 ½" tall from the bottom of the base to the top of the shade bracket. It contains no chips, cracks, or repairs. Excellent condition.

Large and lovely Limoges pillow vase. This elegant vase bears no factory mark but the blank is identical to the Jean Pouyat pillow vase pictured on page 257 (Plate 635) of Mary Frank Gaston's "Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain" (Third Edition). The vase is hand painted with life-like pink poppies and foliage on a background of beautifully blended shades of brown, green, blue, and creamy white. The floral clusters are accented with brown scrollwork and raised white enamel highlights. The rim and handles of the vase are painted with gold gilding that shows minimal wear. The vase stands 8 ½" tall and measures just over 10" from handle to handle. This beautiful vase is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or restoration.

Excellent Limoges loving cup vase with roses. This lovely hand painted vase stands 7" tall and is marked with the Tressemann and Vogt underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1892-1900. The rim and three scrolled handles are painted with lovely gold gilding that is in excellent condition. The body of the vase is decorated with pink, yellow, and ivory colored roses and greenery on a pastel blue and white background. The lower body of the vase is decorated with lovely raised gold enamel scrollwork. This outstanding Limoges vase is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or restoration.

Wonderful vintage footed vase. This lovely hand painted vase is unmarked, but most likely French or Austrian in origin. It is decorated with excellent orange poppies, white daisies, and greenery, as well as wonderful gold gilding. The gilding on the feet and rim is in mint condition. The poppies and daisies have raised enamel highlights in their centers and on their petals. The vase is signed by the artist, S. Skogzek. The piece stands 5 ½" tall and is 5 ½" in diameter at its widest point. This beautiful antique vase is free of any chips, cracks, or repairs. Mint condition.

The vase measures 7" in diameter and stands just over 3" tall. It is marked with the Tressemann and Vogt underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1892-1907. Wonderful Limoges vase decorated at the Stouffer Studio. Decorated with springtime in mind, this vase is hand painted with graceful pink tulips, various shades of green foliage, and clouds on a white background. The rim and base of the vase are decorated with heavy gold gilding that is in excellent condition. Each tulip, leaf, and stem is outlined with a fine line of gold. The upper rim and clouds are outlined with a thin line of red. The vase is signed by the well-known American studio artist, Joseph Blaha. This elegant vase stands 12" tall and sits on a base that is 3 ¾" in diameter. The vase is double marked with the Tressemann and Vogt underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1892-1907, and the Stouffer decorating mark in red, circa 1906-1914. This well executed piece is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or restoration of any kind.

Lovely Limoges vase with roses. This vase stands 8" tall and is 4 ½" in diameter at it widest point. It is marked with the Remy Delinieres and Company underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1894-1900. The vase is hand painted with deep burgundy roses, stems, and vines on a creamy white and pale green background. The roses and greenery encircle the entire vase. The rim and elegant handles of the vase are painted with gold gilding. The gilding on the rim of the vase shows some wear, but the gilding on the handles is in excellent condition. This lovely piece is signed by the artist, N. Masson, and is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or repairs.

Gorgeous Limoges pansy squat vase. This vase is hand painted with beautiful life-like pansies in shades of white, purple, and lilac. They appear three dimensional on the expertly shaded background of green, lavender, and taupe. The centers of some of the pansies have raised enamel highlights. The vase is signed on the bottom by the artist, Dorothy Campbell. The vase measures 7" in diameter and stands 3" tall. The roses are beautiful in shades of pink and creamy white, and appear three-dimensional on the shaded green background. The top and inner rim of the vase are trimmed with gold gilding that does show some wear. The vase measures 5 ½" tall and is 9" in diameter at its widest point. The mouth of the vase is 4" in diameter. The artist's signature, M. Cudlip, appears on the bottom of the vase along with the Bernardaud and Company underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1914- 1930's. Large and gorgeous Limoges jardiniere. This lovely jardiniere is hand painted and signed by the artist, A. E. Abbott. The entire circumference of the piece, 37", is decorated with large red, pink, and yellow roses and greenery on a pale blue and green background. The jardiniere has a deep, gilded rim that extends 1 ½" into the inner bowl. The gilding is in excellent condition. The jardiniere is 9" tall and the bottom is 6" in diameter. The diameter at it widest point is 11 ¼" and the mouth measures 8 ½" across. It is marked with the Tressemann and Vogt underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1892-1907. This outstanding piece is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or restoration.

The plate is 7" in diameter with beautiful gilding and enameling on the flowers. The vase is 7" tall and has heavy gilding on the body and enameling on the flowers. Mint condition.

Lovely Limoges handpainted vase with handles. This gorgeous vase is marked with the Lanternier factory underglaze whiteware mark in green, circa 1890's. The vase is 8" tall and is decorated with white magnolia flowers and leaves on a background of creamy yellow. Decoration is enhanced with gold gilted vines and green leaves. The condition is very good with no chips, cracks or crazing. It has a factory-made 1/4" spot at the base that is unglazed. It doesn't take away from the beauty of the piece. It is a stunning vase.

This gorgeous handled vase is unmarked but artist signed, M.F.C., on the bottom. We have seen an identical blank marked Imperial Austria. What is unique about the vase is the dating on each side of the front - 1843 and 1893. It perhaps was made to commemorate someones life. The numbers 18 and 4 are impressed into the bottom of the vase. The artwork is beautiful with morning glories and lavish gold gilt adorning the vase all around. It stands 10" tall and is 8" from handle to handle. It is in excellent condition with some gold wear on the neck and base.
