Lovely vintage cider or lemonade pitcher with pansies. This charming pitcher is expertly hand painted with pansies in shades of purple, yellow, lavender, and amber. Background colors are pastel shades of lavender, green, mauve, and white. The artist has initialed the pitcher, A. C. S. The pitcher stands 6 3/8" tall and measures just over 5" in diameter at its widest point. Though unmarked, this vintage pitcher is made of fine European translucent porcelain, and is most likely Austrian or Bavarian in origin. With no chips, cracks, or restoration, this vintage pitcher is in excellent condition. Handsome vintage cider pitcher set with grapes. This gorgeous set includes a large cider pitcher with four matching, handled cups. Each piece of the set is expertly hand painted with clusters of purple grapes and greenery on a ground of ivory, blue, and amber. Gold gilding adorns the rim of the pitcher and one side of the beaded handle. The remainder of the handle is painted a lovely shade of amber. The very talented artist's initials, F. A., appear on the pitcher and one of the cups. Two of the cups are marked, "Hand Painted China, J. Geo. Garnieh & Co., Kansas City, Kansas". The remaining two cups and cider pitcher are unmarked. All pieces of the set are made of fine, translucent porcelain and are most likely Limoges in origin. The cider pitcher stands just over 6" tall and measures 8 ½" from handle to spout. Each cup stands 3 ½" tall. With no chips, cracks, or restoration, this vintage set is in excellent condition. |

The flowers and foliage are outlined with pencil-thin gilding. The ornate handle and rims of the pitcher are decorated with vibrant and heavily applied gold gilding that is in excellent condition. French factory artist, Muttier, has signed the pitcher near the handle. It stands 9 ½"tall and measures 4 ½" inches in diameter across its skirted base. Marvelous and massive Limoges pitcher or tankard with camellias. This large pitcher stands 14 ½" tall and measures 8" in diameter at its widest point. It is expertly hand painted with vibrant pink camellias and lush greenery on a colorful ground of magenta, lavender, buttery yellow, and peach. Some of the camellias have raised white enamel highlights on their petals, giving them a very three-dimensional appearance. The rim and handle of the pitcher are decorated with rich gold gilding that is in excellent condition. French factory artist, de Moris, has signed the pitcher. It is double marked with the P. M. Mavaleix underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1908-1914, as well as the George Borgfeldt (Coronet) overglaze decorating mark in green, circa 1906-1920. "Hand decorated", written in red, also appears on the bottom of the pitcher. With no chips, cracks, or restoration, this beautiful antique pitcher is in excellent condition. |

It is beautifully hand painted with trailing pink, yellow, and red roses and foliage on a ground of lovely pastels in shades of blue, antique rose, pink, mint green, and ivory. The petals of the pink and yellow roses have raised enamel highlights, giving them a three-dimensional appearance. Charming Limoges bumblebee and apple blossom cider pitcher. This pitcher is hand painted with white and pink blush apple blossoms and greenery. Buzzing near the blossoms are two very large, realistic bumblebees. Background colors are soft blue, white, and deep hunter green. The rim of the pitcher is decorated with gold gilding that is in very good condition, with some wear noted to the top of the rim. Well-known American porcelain painter, E. Miler, has signed and dated, 1902, the pitcher near the base of the handle. The signature and date are very faint, but can be seen with the help of a magnifying glass. The pitcher is marked with the Jean Pouyat underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1890-1932. It measures 7 ¾" from handle to spout and stands 5 ½" tall at the rim. Large and lovely Limoges "Alexander-style" cider pitcher with strawberries. This expertly hand painted cider pitcher is decorated with ripe red strawberries, white berry blossoms, and greenery on a colorful ground of deep sienna, chocolate brown, ivory, buttery yellow, and soft mint green. Exquisite gold gilding, with extensive black detailing, adorns the upper and lower rims of the pitcher. The ornate handle and inner mouth rim of the pitcher are decorated with heavily applied gold gilding that is in very good condition, with minor wear noted to the handle where the thumb and fingers would rest. There is also minor wear to the gilding on the pitcher's rim edge. There is a manufacturing flaw, an indentation, in the handle where the thumb would rest. The indentation is under the gold gilding and is original to the piece. Please refer to picture 5. This large cider pitcher measures 7" in diameter at its widest point, not including the handle. The measurement from handle to spout is 9". The pitcher stands almost 8" tall at the handle. It is marked with the Tressemann and Vogt underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1892-1907. Although the excellent hand painting on this pitcher appears to be the product of an American studio such as Pickard of Stouffer, it bears no studio mark or artist's signature. This gorgeous pitcher is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or repairs. |

Outstanding Ceramic Art Company tankard with blackberries. This large Belleek tankard is expertly hand painted with luscious ripening blackberries, pink and white blossoms, and fall foliage on a beautifully blended ground of creamy ivory, mauve, amber, sienna, hunter green, and mint green. The center of each flower has raised enamel highlights. The base of the tankard features an intricate raised relief design, as does the handle. The colors on the handle of the tankard range from deep sienna to creamy caramel. The top rim of the tankard is decorated with rich gold gilding. This substantial tankard stands 14 ½" tall and measures 6 ¾" in diameter across the base. It is marked with the American Ceramic Art Company overglaze decorating mark in violet, circa 1894-1906. This beautiful tankard is in excellent condition with the exception of a small firing flaw on one side of the handle. Gorgeous American studio decorated Limoges cider or lemonade pitcher. This large and lovely cider pitcher is hand painted with expertly executed and realistic burnt orange poppies and greenery on a ground of deep greens and rust. These deep tones fade to lighter shades of green and peach as they continue up the sides of this very substantial pitcher. The handle and rim of the piece are painted with rich gold gilding, and the gold gilding at the top of the pitcher is outlined with deep red pen work. There are just a few tiny spots of gold wear on the handle and edge of the spout. The painted surface is in excellent condition, with the exception of several tiny spots of paint loss on the back of the pitcher near the bottom, which are pictured in the photos. The pitcher is marked with the William Guerin underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1900-1932, and the Stouffer Studio trademark in red, circa 1905-1906. It is initialed "JK" near the handle by the artist, Jacob Kiefus. The pitcher stands 6" tall, not including the spout, and measures 8 ½" from spout to handle. Superb Stouffer roses pitcher. This outstanding piece is hand painted with lovely roses on a background of mint green, orange, magenta, yellow, apricot, and pink. There is a lovely gold scrolling design below the roses. The rim and handle are decorated with heavy gold gilding that shows very minimal loss on the handle where the thumb would rest. The pitcher is signed by the artist, Thomas Jelinek, who painted for both the Stouffer and Pickard studios. The piece is double marked with the Gerard, Dufraisseix, and Abbot underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1900-1941, as well as the Stouffer overglaze decorating mark in red, circa 1906-1914. Enchanting Limoges cider or lemonade set. This lovely set includes a pitcher and four matching cups. Each piece is beautifully hand painted with vivid red-orange poppies and a yellow and amber colored butterfly. Ground colors are a lovely blending of soft green, peach, pink, caramel brown, and sky blue. The rims and handles of all of the pieces are painted with lovely gold gilding that is in excellent condition. Each piece is signed on the bottom by the artist, M. Lilley. The pitcher stands 7" tall and sits on a base that measures 5 ¼" in diameter. The cups measure slightly over 3" tall. The pitcher is marked with the Charles Martin underglaze white ware mark in green, used after 1891. The cups are unmarked, but most likely Limoges, Bavarian, or Austrian in origin. All pieces of this wonderful set are in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or repairs. |

Handsome Limoges tankard with grapes. This large pitcher or tankard is hand painted with red grapes, vines, and foliage on a ground of taupe, mauve, olive green and gray. The tiered base and handle of the tankard are painted a very dark green to charcoal black, as is the top rim. The entire decorated surface of the piece has a matte finish. The tankard is signed on the bottom by the artist, but the signature is difficult to read (please refer to the photo of the signature). The tankard stands 14 ¾" tall and sits on a base that is slightly more than 6" in diameter. The maker's mark is Tressemann and Vogt's underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1892-1907. Handsome tankard hand painted by the D'Arcy Studio of Kalamazoo, Michigan. This outstanding tankard is hand painted and signed by the artist, Blake. It is decorated with large red currants and leaves on a background of deep crimson red, pale yellow, light blue, and creamy white. The mouth of the tankard is decorated with gold scroll work outlined in black. The handle is also painted with gold gilt that is in excellent condition. Large and beautiful vintage tankard. This tankard stands 14 1/2" tall and 9" wide at the base. It is handpainted with lovely mauve colored grapes on an off-white background and is signed, Ferne Matz. It is decorated with lots of gold gilt. Due to aging the gilding does show some fading especially on the handle. It is unmarked, but I have seen this same blank marked Vienna, Austria. The tankard is in very good condition. |

Stunning Limoges cider pitcher. This cider or lemonade pitcher is decorated with beautiful hand painted blackberries, leaves, and pink blackberry blossoms with raised enameling in their centers. The entire pitcher is painted with pastel shades of pink, yellow, amber and green. The handle and rim are covered with gold gilt that is in perfect condition. This large scale pitcher measures 8 ½" from handle to spout and is over 6" tall. It is marked with the Jean Pouyat Factory underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1890-1932 and is signed and dated by the artist, Michelson, 1911. Outstanding Bavarian cider or lemonade pitcher with raspberries, signed O. Berger. This large and lovely pitcher is hand painted with ripe red raspberries, pink blossoms and greenery on a ground of ivory, sky blue, and mint green. The sculpted handle and scalloped rim are decorated with rich and heavy gold gilding. The only wear to the gold is two ¼" spots on the handle where the thumb would rest. The pitcher is signed by the artist in two places. "O. Berger" appears to the right of the handle, and on the bottom are the initials, "O. B." accompanied by a "shooting star" trademark. The pitcher is marked on the bottom with the Jaeger and Company (Bavaria, Germany) makers mark, circa early 1900's. This large pitcher measures 6 ¾" tall and 9" from spout to handle. Its condition is excellent, with no chips, cracks, or repairs. |

The rim and handle are decorated with gold gilding that is in excellent condition. It is signed, in red, by the artist, Breton. This factory decorated pitcher is double marked with the Tressemann and Vogt underglaze white ware mark in green as well as the overglaze decorating mark in purple, accompanied with a banner that reads "Hand Painted", circa 1907-1919. The deep colors are stunning. The rim of the pitcher is painted with gold gilding that is in excellent condition. The pitcher stands 9" tall and sits on a base that measures 6" in diameter. It is marked with the Charles Martin underglaze white ware mark in green that was used after 1891. There is also an inscribed "M" on the bottom of the pitcher. This blank is pictured on page 367 of Mary Frank Gaston's, Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain, third edition. Lovely Limoges milk pitcher. This hand painted pitcher was produced by the Tressemann and Vogt Factory, circa 1892-1907, and is signed and dated on the bottom by the artist, Redinguy, 1905. It is decorated with dark pink roses, green foliage and scrolling on a background of soft mint green. This graceful, Alexander style pitcher is embellished with gold gilt on the rim and handle. The background greenery is a soft green that was so popular in the late Victorian era. This impressive piece stands 12 ½" tall and measures 4 ¼" in diameter at its base. Lovely Limoges lemonade or cider set. This set consists of a pitcher and 5 handled cups. The pieces are all handpainted. The pitcher measures 5 1/2" tall and 8 1/2" from handle to spout. It is decorated with peaches on a background of white and creamy yellow. There is a pale green band encircling the pitcher. The handle is black with gold beading. Each cup is 3 1/4" tall and is painted with a matching green band and a different fruit. Handles are gold. The pitcher is marked JPL France (Jean Pouyat), circa 1890-1932 and the cups are marked D&Co France (Delinieres), circa 1894-1900. All pieces are in excellent condition. |

Magnificant Dragon Handle Limoges Tankard. This tankard stands 14 1/2" tall and is marked JPL France (Jean Pouyat), circa 1890-1932. It is beautifully handpainted with clusters of grapes in shades of orange, purple, green and red. There is gold gilding around the top with very minor wear. A couple of spots on the toes and tail of the dragon have slight paint loss. At the very bottom edge of the tankard there is some very minor paint loss (please see picture). The tankard is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. |
