The ruffled edge is painted with a thick border of gold gilt that is outlined in black. Lovely gold scrollwork extends across the bowl's center. The bowl measures 9" long, 7 ½" wide, and is 1 ½" deep. It is marked with Pickard Studio mark 4, circa 1903-1905, used at the carriage barn studio. There appears to be an artist signature on one of the leaves, but it is illegible. The bowl is in excellent condition with very minimal wear to the paint on two of the high relief areas. There are no chips, cracks, or repairs. |
