Large and handsome Limoges game charger with pheasants. This colorful charger is expertly hand painted with two pheasants in a natural woodland setting featuring native grasses, stalks of pink hollyhocks, and trees in the distance. Background colors are a beautiful blending of sky blue, peach, pink, mauve, green, yellow, and taupe. The ornate and sculpted rim of the charger is decorated with heavily applied gold gilding that is in excellent condition. Listed French factory artist, Duca, has signed the front of the charger. The piece measures 13 ½" in diameter and is 2" deep at the rim. The back of the charger is pierced for hanging. It is marked with the Flambeau China (L. D. B. & Co.) overglaze decorating mark in green, circa 1890's-1900. Slight imperfections to be noted are two short scratches to the painted surface of the charger, one on each pleasant. Neither detracts from the outstanding artwork. Please refer to the photos. With no chips, cracks, or repairs, this antique game charger is in excellent condition.

Large Limoges game charger with hunting dogs. This large charger measures 14" in diameter and stands 1 7/8" tall at the rim. It is hand painted with a colorful outdoor scene featuring two hunting dogs. Background colors are blue, green, caramel, brown, lavender, peach and yellow. The ornate and sculpted rim of the charger is decorated with gold gilding that does show wear to the outside rim. Also noted is minor wear to the painted surface along the bottom rim. This wear is minor and does not detract. The artist, Foucaud, has signed the charger. The charger is marked with the Lewis Straus & Sons overglaze exporting mark in red, circa 1890's- mid 1920's. It is pierced for hanging. With no chips, cracks, or repairs, this large charger is in excellent condition.

Massive Limoges charger with hunting dogs. This enormous charger measures 16 ¼" in diameter and is a nice heavy weight. It is masterfully hand painted with a pair of hunting dogs, English Pointers, in a very realistic fall-to-winter setting. Raised enamel highlights accent the hunting dogs and the natural grasses in the foreground. The muted color palette includes white, soft gray, charcoal gray, golden amber, caramel brown, chocolate brown, pale green, and rusty red. The hand painting is exquisite. The charger is marked with the Jean Pouyat underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1890-1932. With no chips, cracks, or repairs, this unique, antique charger is in excellent condition.

The towering trees, lush grasses, and rippled surface of the water feature raised enamel highlights that give the entire scene a three-dimensional appearance. The very talented artist, Gross, has signed the charger. The large charger has a scalloped and tightly fluted or ribbed edge. Rich gold gilding highlights the fluted rim of the plate. The gilding does show wear on the fluted edges, but the wear does not detract from the beauty of the hand painted outdoor scene. The charger measures 13 ½" in diameter and is pierced for hanging. French factory artist, De Nerval, has signed the plate. There are four very small (less than 1/8") areas on the painted surface of the plate that do show rubbing, probably due to stacking. They do not detract from the colorful artistry of the plate. The plate measures 9 3/8" in diameter. It is double marked with the Latrille Freres underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1899-1913, as well as the Lazeyras, Rosenfeld & Lehman overglaze decorating mark in green, circa 1920's. Colorful Limoges game charger. This handsome charger is hand painted with colorful mallard ducks in flight. The background is painted brilliant shades of green that are a lovely contrast to the gilded rim of the charger. The gilding does show minor wear to some of the high relief areas on the rim. The signature of the French factory artist, Rogin, appears on the front of the charger. The piece measures 11 ½" in diameter and is pierced for hanging. The charger is marked with the Lazeyras, Rosenfeld, and Lehman overglaze decorating mark in green, circa 1920's. This charger is in very good condition with the exception of a crow's foot hairline on the back of the piece. Please refer to the photo. The hairline is under the glaze and does not go through to the front. It was most likely present when the charger was painted. It is a lovely display piece in spite of this imperfection.
