Delightful vintage talc shaker and dresser box with birds and blossoms. This charming unmarked set features fine translucent porcelain, and the blanks are most likely Limoges or Austrian in origin. Both pieces are expertly hand painted with adorable bluebirds and blossoms on a white ground. The shaker top and dresser box lid are decorated with vibrant gold gilding that is in excellent condition. The artist, Kim, has signed both pieces. The shaker stands 4 ¾" tall and measures 3 ¾" in diameter at its widest point. The petite dresser box measures 2 ¾" in diameter, excluding the elegant handle. It stands 1 ¾" tall to the top of the handle. This lovely set is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or restoration. |

Its graceful, scalloped rim is decorated with vibrant gold gilding that is in excellent condition. Huge roses in shades of lavender, yellow, pink, and peach, fill the tray. Amid the roses is a delightful hummingbird with green and red plumage. Background colors are a lovely palette of lavender, mauve, blue, and white. Gorgeous Limoges dresser tray with wild roses. This elaborate and elegant mold features a swirling shell-like border in raised relief. The tray is expertly hand painted with wild yellow roses and foliage on a white, gray, and amber ground. The outer border of the tray is a lovely shade of pale pink. Rich gold gilding adorns the inner and outer rims of the tray. The gilding is in excellent condition. The very talented artist has signed and dated the back of the tray, C. E. Ingalls, 1892. It is expertly hand painted with deep crimson and soft yellow roses and greenery on a ground of mint green, white, dusty rose, and pale blue. Large and lovely Limoges cuff-and-collar dresser jar with daisies. This very large, antique dresser jar measures 8 ½" in diameter and stands 3 ¾" tall. It is hand painted with dazzling white daisies with golden centers. Background colors are a beautifully blended palette of blue-green, pale blue, mauve, and turquoise blue. The artist, McQue, has signed the top of the dresser jar, along one of the daisy stems. The jar is marked with the Limoges, France underglaze white ware mark in green, used after 1891. Charming Limoges dresser or vanity set with roses. This dresser set includes a covered powder jar, a hair receiver, a perfume bottle with stopper, and a tiny ring holder. Each piece of the set is expertly hand painted with dainty, trailing yellow roses and greenery on a white background. The bases of the powder jar, hair receiver, and perfume bottle are painted a lovely shade of green. Each piece is decorated with a band of embossed gold that frames dozens of white, raised enamel beads. The jeweled beading highlights the beauty of the hand painted roses. Rich gold gilding adorns the mouth and stopper of the perfume bottle, the opening of the hair receiver, and the top of the ring holder. Both the powder jar and hair receiver stand 3 ¾" tall to the tops of their covers and measure just over 4" in diameter. They are marked with the La Porcelaine Limousine underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1905-1930's. The perfume bottle stands 6 ½" tall to the top of the gilded stopper and is marked with the Klingenberg and Dwenger underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1890's-1910. The tiny ring holder stands 3 ½" tall and measures 2 3/8" in diameter at its base. It is marked with the Gerard, Dufraisseix, and Abbot underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1900-1941. The rim of the tray, powder jar finial, and opening of the hair receiver are decorated with gold gilding that is in excellent condition. Well-known American amateur artist, E. Large and lovely Limoges tray with poppies. This beautiful tray is hand painted with graceful orange and pink poppies and foliage on a ground of expertly blended greens, pastel blue, and peach. The curved and scalloped rim is trimmed with a wide band of rich gold gilding that is in excellent condition. The tray is signed and dated on the back by the artist, Lenora M. Kline, 08'. Though unmarked, the tray is definitely Limoges in origin. This same blank is pictured in Mary Frank Gaston's, "Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain" (Third Edition) on page 36 (Plate 22) where it is attributed to Elite Works. It measures 16" long and 13" wide. This lovely vintage tray is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or repairs. |

Splendid vintage dresser jar with roses. This fabulous dresser jar is hand painted, inside and out, with red and pink roses and foliage. On the jar's exterior, the large cabbage roses feature raised enamel highlights, giving them a three-dimensional appearance. The pink wild roses on the bowl's interior also have raised enamel highlights. Heavily applied gold gilding, raised gold scrollwork, and blue beads accent the upper and lower rims of jar and lid. The gilding is in excellent condition. Noted is wear to just one of the blue beads on the lid. Please refer to the photo. Though this piece is unmarked and unsigned, the fine translucent porcelain is definitely Limoges quality, and the jar is most likely an unmarked Tressemann and Vogt blank. The hand painting is of very high quality as well. The piece measures 8" in diameter and stands over 4" tall. Lovely Limoges portrait dresser tray with violets. This kidney-shaped tray is expertly hand painted with two adorable Victorian girls in period attire. The blonde little girl appears to be assisting her little brunette friend with her large, violet-trimmed bonnet. Elegant gold scrollwork frames their portrait, with minor wear noted to several small areas of the scrolling. Vibrant bouquets of lavender, purple, and pink violets adorn the pale blue border of the tray. The very talented artist has initialed and dated the back of the tray, "B 1897". Beautiful Limoges dresser set with lilacs. This dresser set includes an 11 3/8" by 8 ¼" tray, a 4 ¾" tall hatpin holder, two 5 ½" tall candlesticks, and a footed and covered dresser jar that measures 5" in diameter and stands 3 ¾" tall. All pieces of the set are expertly hand painted with clusters of purple lilacs and greenery on a ground of pale blue, ivory, soft peach, and creamy yellow. Each piece is decorated with rich gold gilding that is in excellent condition. The very talented artist, VAN, has signed each piece. Alan B. Reed, in his "Collector's Encyclopedia of Pickard China", references a Chicago studio, Van's China Studio. That studio was owned and operated by Arthur R. Van Wicklin. It is possible that this dresser set is tied to that studio or artist. The dresser tray is marked with the Tressemann and Vogt underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1892-1907. The hatpin holder and candlesticks are marked with the La Porcelaine Limousine underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1905-late 1930's. The covered dresser jar is marked M. Z. Austria. Outstanding and rare Limoges four-piece desk set. This desk set includes a letter holder; a calendar, complete with inserts; a blotter, with paper still on it; and an adorable stamp box with lid. Each piece is beautifully hand painted with sprays of dainty blue forget-me-nots and greenery on a white background. Lavish gold gilding adds to the charm of each piece. The gilding is in excellent condition, with very minor wear noted on the edges of the blotter. The artist has initialed both the letter holder and the calendar with "M. R. W." and has designated the year as '99 (for 1899). The stamp box is monogrammed with a "W" in gold gilding. The letter holder measures 6" long, 2" wide, and 4" tall. It is marked with the Klingenberg and Dwenger underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1890's - 1910. The calendar is marked with the Elite Works overglaze decorating mark in red, circa 1891-1900, and measures 3 ½" tall. The 3 ¾" by 1 ¾" by 1 ½" stamp box is unmarked. We cannot tell if the blotter is marked and don't want to disturb the blotter paper in order to check for a factory mark. The blotter measures 5 ¾" long and 3" wide. All pieces of this rare antique desk set are in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or restoration. |

Charming vintage glove box with violets. This large, lidded glove box is hand painted with vibrant purple violets and foliage on a ground of white, soft lavender, pale pink, and pale yellow. The ornate rim of the lid is decorated with gold gilding that is in excellent condition. The artist, Beryl Ory, has signed the lid of the box. The glove box measures 12" long, 4 ½" wide, and stands 2 ½" tall. This vintage glove box bears no manufacturer's mark, making it difficult to date the piece exactly. All of the pieces are decorated with rich gold gilding that is in excellent condition. The heart shaped pin tray is marked with the Limoges, France, Paroutaud Freres factory underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1903-1917. The powder shaker is marked Favorite Bavaria. The other pieces are without factory marks, which was not uncommon during that era. The petite hatpin holder stands just 1 ¾" high. The vase measures 5" in height. Both the powder jar and hair receiver stand about 4" tall and measures 4 ¾" in diameter. The powder shaker stands 4" tall, and the pin tray measures 3 ¾" across. Elegant Limoges dresser set with forget-me-nots. This beautiful dresser set includes two, footed cologne bottles, two small and footed trinket boxes with lids, one large and footed powder box with lid, and a small pin tray. All pieces of this lovely set are decorated in the "mixtion" method, a combination of transfer and hand painted decoration. Each piece is decorated with trailing blue flowers and greenery on a ground of white, pale blue, and the slightest hint of peach blush. The flowers have raised enamel centers and raised enamel embellishments. The handles and finials are decorated with rich gold gilding that is in mint condition, as is all of the delicate gold scrollwork that adorns each piece of the set. All pieces of the set are marked with the Martial Redon underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1891-1896. With the exception of the small pin tray, all pieces of the set also have an impressed "MR". There is no decorating mark, but factory-decorated pieces were not always double marked. Each cologne bottle stands 6" tall to the top of the finial. The very petite pin tray measures 5" by 3". The large powder jar stands 3 ¾" tall to the top of the finial and measures 4" in diameter. Both of the small trinket boxes measure 2 ¼" tall and are 3" in diameter. All pieces of this lovely dresser set are free of chips, cracks, or restoration. Mint condition. |

Pretty Limoges trinket or dresser jar. This adorable oval trinket jar is hand painted with vivid purple violets and greenery on a ground of fuchsia, lavender, and yellow. The rim of the lid is decorated with a wide band of rich gold gilding. The signature of the artist, M. L. Bennett, appears on the jar's lid. It measures 6" long, 3 ¾" wide, and stands 2 ½" tall with lid in place. The underglaze white ware mark is the Limoges, France, mark 5, used after 1891. This lovely piece is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or restoration. |

Large and lovely Limoges powder or dresser jar. The wonderful powder blue and pink blush background on this piece offers the perfect backdrop for the hand painted blue and pink forget-me-nots and greenery that adorn the lid. The flower petals feature raised enamel highlights that give them a three-dimensional appearance. The rims of the powder jar are painted with gold gilding that is in excellent condition. The artist, Anna Butz, has signed the bottom of the jar. This large jar stands just over 3" tall and measures 6" in diameter. Pretty Limoges hand painted perfume bottle. This dainty dresser or perfume bottle is decorated with trailing blue forget-me-nots and greenery on a background of ivory and pale blue. The bottle and stopper are painted with rich gold gilding that is in excellent condition. The bottle stands 5 ¼" tall to the top of the stopper and sits on a base that measures slightly more that 2" in diameter. It is marked with the William Guerin underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1900-1932. With no chips, cracks, or repairs, this lovely bottle is in excellent condition. |

Lovely Pickard footed powder or trinket jar. This covered trinket jar is decorated with hand painted bouquets of blue forget-me-nots on a ground of white and sky blue. The rims and graceful feet are painted with gold gilding that is in excellent condition. Scalloped gold accents decorate the underside of the jar. The signature of Pickard Studio artist, Curtis Marker, appears on the lid. Because the underside of the jar comes to a point, the Pickard Studio decorating mark appears on the underside of the lid. The mark is the first mark used at the Ravenswood studio, circa 1905-1910. The jar measures 3 ¾" in diameter and stands just over 2 ½" tall when the lid is in place. It is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or restoration. |

Unique Limoges dresser tray with canaries and violets. This cheerful dresser tray is hand painted with two adorable yellow canaries perched on the edge of a water bowl. With the birds and bowl is a beautiful bouquet of purple violets. Ground colors are white, brown, purple, and gray. The ornate and irregular shaped rim of the tray is decorated with rich gold gilding that shows some wear. The tray measures 12 ½" long, 8 ½" wide, and stands just over 1" tall. Beautiful two-piece Limoges vanity set. This outstanding set consists of a hat pin holder and matching tray. Both pieces are hand painted with enchanting blue forget-me-nots on a delicate blue and cream colored background. Both pieces are very elegant in their design and are trimmed with rich gold gilding that is in mint condition. Each piece has been initialed by the artist, L. W. The scalloped tray measures 12 ½" long and is just over 8" wide. The hat pin holder stands 4 ¾" tall and comes with a vintage gold hat pin. The hat pin holder is marked with the Tressemann and Vogt underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1892-1907. The tray is marked with the Gerard, Dufraisseix, and Abbot underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1900-1941. Both the tray and hat pin holder are perfect, with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The elegantly shaped finial is decorated with gold gilding that is in excellent condition. The jar is initialed on the bottom, "F. B. R. From A. S. Y. 1913". Beautiful Pickard Studio poppies powder jar. This lovely powder jar is hand painted in the Art Nouveau style with burnt orange poppies and greenery on an opalescent background. The jar and lid are trimmed with gold gilding that is outlined in a deep crimson red. In the center of the lid is a gold medallion inscribed with a poppy. This piece is signed by the artist, Alfred Keates. The powder jar measures 5 3/8" in diameter and stands 2 ½" tall. It is marked with the Haviland underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1894-1932, as well as the Pickard Studio trademark 4, circa 1903-1905, used at the carriage barn studio. This elegant piece is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or restoration, and only very minor wear to the gold on the outer edge of the lid. |
