Gorgeous Limoges leaf-shaped dish with roses, private labeled for Pitkin and Brooks. This beautiful dish is expertly hand painted with pink and red roses and greenery on a ground of creamy ivory, peach blush, deep green, and gray. The stem-handle and rim of the dish are decorated with gold gilding that is in excellent condition, with minor wear noted to the high points of the rim. Listed French-factory artist, A. Lajus, has signed the dish. It measures 10" wide, 8 ½" long, and stands 1 ¾" tall at the rim. It is marked with the Elite Works underglaze white ware mark in green, used after 1900, along with the Pitkin and Brooks private label in red, circa 1903-1917. Lovely Limoges open-handled tray with roses. This tray measures 13 3/4" long and 9" wide. It is expertly hand painted with soft white and pink blush roses on a ground of buttery yellow, pale pink, ivory, and mint green. The open handles and scalloped rim of the tray are decorated with gold gilding that is in very good condition, with minor wear noted to the scalloped rim. The artist's signature, E. Thomas (a pseudonym for well-known china painter, Esther Miler), appears on the front of the tray. The tray is marked with the Vignaud factory mark in green circa 1911-1938. With no chips, cracks, or restoration, this charming antique tray is in excellent condition.

Fabulous Limoges charger or handled tray with roses. This large hand painted charger or tray is expertly rendered with multicolored roses and lilacs on a ground of white, amber, and peach. The ornate and scalloped rim is decorated with heavily applied gold gilding that is in very good condition, with slight wear noted to the outermost rim and highpoints. Listed French-factory artist, Fiseier, has signed the charger near one of the red roses. The tray is marked with the Tressemann and Vogt underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1907-1919, as well as the T&V overglaze decorating mark in red from that same period. The charger measures 15" across from handle to handle and is 13 ½" across in the opposite direction. With no chips, cracks, or restoration, this large and lovely piece is in excellent condition.

Handsome Limoges plate with raspberries. This beautifully shaped blank is expertly hand painted with ripe, red raspberries, white blossoms, and greenery on a ground of butter yellow, soft green, amber, and sienna. The ornate and petal-shaped rim is decorated with gold gilding, outlined in pencil-thin black scrollwork. The gilding is in excellent condition, with minor wear noted to the outermost rim. The artist's initial, "M", appears on the back of the plate. The plate measures 8 ½" in diameter and is marked with the Gerard, Dufraisseix, and Abbot underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1900-1941. With no chips, cracks, or repairs, this lovely plate is in excellent condition.

Delightful Limoges basket with violets. This lovely ruffle-edged basket is hand painted with purple and lavender violets and foliage on a ground of mint green, ivory, amber, and taupe. The ruffled edge is decorated with gold gilding that is in excellent condition, with minor wear noted to a few of the high points of the rim. The artist, Diebold, has signed the interior of the basket. The basket is marked with the Jean Pouyat underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1890-1932. It measures 8 ¼" long, 4 ¾" wide, and stands 3 ½" tall at the handle. This charming basket is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or restoration.

Large and lovely Limoges charger with wild roses and a quaint cottage. This hand painted charger features pink and fuchsia wild roses and greenery in the foreground. In the background, across a large expanse of grass, is a white cottage with a red roof. The scalloped rim of the charger is decorated with sponged gold gilding that is in excellent condition. The artist has signed the charger under the pink wild roses, but the signature is difficult to read. (Please refer to the photo.) This porcelain mold features four sculpted flowers in raised relief around its inner rim. The charger measures 13" in diameter and is marked with the Bernardaud & Co. underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1914-1930's. Gorgeous Limoges cake plate with reticulated handles. This exquisite plate is expertly hand painted with white, salmon, and peach poppies and greenery on a ground of white, mauve, and gray-green. The elegant scalloped rim of the plate is decorated with rich gold gilding that is in excellent condition. The very talented artist, M. W. Peters, signed the front of the plate and initialed and dated the plate on the back, M. W. P. 1908. The plate measures 10" by 9" and is marked with the Elite Works underglaze white ware mark in green, used after 1900. Lovely American studio decorated nappy with violets. This delightful nappy is hand painted with vibrant purple and lavender violets and greenery on a ground of mint green and ivory. The ornate and scalloped rim and handle of the nappy are decorated with rich gold gilding that is in excellent condition. The artist, Urschel, has signed the piece. It is double marked with the MZ Austria underglaze white ware mark in green, along with the White's Art Company trademark in red, circa 1914-1923. The charger measures 9 7/8" in diameter and is marked with the Jean Pouyat underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1890-1932. Colorful Limoges portrait charger or plaque. This hand painted plaque depicts a Dutch lady and gentleman in period attire, right down to the gentleman's wooden shoes. They appear to be resting or waiting on a pier, with baskets ready to tote home the catch of the day. Their brightly colored attire stands out against the turquoise blue water and mauve and yellow sunset on the horizon. The sculpted and ornate rim of the plaque is decorated with rich gold gilding that is in excellent condition, with very minor wear to some of the high points. Listed French factory artist, Coudert, has signed the plaque. It is marked with the George Borgfeldt (Coronet) overglaze decorating mark in green, circa 1906-1920. The plaque measures 10 ¼" in diameter and is pierced for hanging. It is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or repairs.

Elegant Limoges plate with roses. This petite plate features a scalloped and very ornate rim with scrollwork and ribbing in raised relief. It is hand painted with blushing pink roses and greenery on a white ground. The raised relief rim is decorated with rich gold gilding that is in excellent condition. The artist, L. F. Case, has signed the back of the plate. Measuring 7" in diameter, the plate is marked with the Tressemann and Vogt underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1892-1907. Gorgeous vintage tray with roses. This large and lovely tray features an ornate scalloped, fluted, and raised rim with handles. It is hand painted with large white roses and gray-green foliage. The white roses are highlighted with touches of a vibrant burnt orange. Tiny and delicate burnt orange flowers appear in the cluster of white roses and on the ornate handles of the tray. Background colors are a beautiful blending of light gray, mauve, and sea foam green. The tray's ornate rim and handles are decorated with rich gold gilding that is in perfect condition. The very talented artist, Ferne Netz, has signed the tray. The tray measures 15 ½" from handle to handle, 11" wide, and 1" high. Though unmarked, this large tray has the look and feel of fine European porcelain, and is most likely Limoges or Austrian in origin. Background colors are a creamy mint green, blushing peach, and buttery yellow. The rim of the tray is decorated with rich gold gilding that does show a little wear on a few of the high points of the raised relief rim. This in no way detracts from the beauty of the tray. The tray is signed by the artist, A. With. This uniquely shaped tray measures 13 ¼" long and 8 ½" wide. It is marked with the William Guerin underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1900-1932. The plate is unsigned by the artist, but is double marked with the Rosenthal (Bavaria) underglaze white ware mark in green, as well as the Pickard Studio decorating mark in light brown, circa 1903-1905. This wonderful handled tray is hand painted with trailing white, yellow, and pink roses and greenery on a ground of buttery yellow, green, mauve, and golden amber. The rim of the tray is decorated with gold gilding that is outlined with black. The tray is signed by French factory artist, Martel. The tray measures 8 ¾" in diameter and stands almost 6" tall to the top of the very substantial handle. It is double marked with the Latrille Freres underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1899-1913, as well as the George Borgfeldt (Coronet) overglaze decorating mark in green, circa 1906-1920. Gorgeous Limoges cakeplate with roses. This expertly hand painted cakeplate or charger was rendered by a very talented porcelain painter. The scalloped and handled plate is decorated with life-like multi-colored roses and foliage on a ground of sky blue and buttery yellow. The handles are decorated with gold gilding that shows minimal wear. The plate measures 10 ¾" from handle to handle, and it is marked with the Delinieres and Company underglaze white ware mark in green, used after 1900. It is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or repairs.

Excellent Limoges handled plate with seaside scene. This charming plate is beautifully hand painted with pastel colored seashells and ocean plants on an underwater background of ocean blue, ivory, and peach. Raised white enamel striations on the plate give the impression of the ocean's surface. The handles and rim of the plate are embossed flowers and stems and are highlighted with gold gilding. The artist's initials, D. R., appear on the front of the plate. The plate measures 10" from handle to handle and is marked with the Gerard, Dufraisseix, and Abbot underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1900-1941. This wonderful seafood plate is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or repairs.

Large and lovely Limoges tray with poppies. This beautiful tray is hand painted with graceful orange and pink poppies and foliage on a ground of expertly blended greens, pastel blue, and peach. The curved and scalloped rim is trimmed with a wide band of rich gold gilding that is in excellent condition. The tray is signed and dated on the back by the artist, Lenora M. Kline, 08'. Though unmarked, the tray is definitely Limoges in origin. This same blank is pictured in Mary Frank Gaston's, "Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain" (Third Edition) on page 36 (Plate 22) where it is attributed to Elite Works. It measures 16" long and 13" wide. This lovely vintage tray is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or repairs.

Lovely Pickard Studio forget-me-nots plate. This pretty plate is hand painted with blue forget-me-nots and greenery on a ground of white and powder blue. The rim is decorated with a wide band of gold gilding that is highlighted with forget-me-nots and outlined in a mint green border. The plate is signed by Pickard Studio artist, George Leach. The plate measures 8 ½" in diameter and is double marked with the Thomas Sevres Bavaria manufacturer's mark, as well as the Pickard Studio trademark, circa 1905-1910. It is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or repairs.

Large and lovely Limoges butter tub or handled bowl. This French factory decorated piece measures 5 ¼" in diameter at its base, 7 ½" from handle to handle, and stands 4 ½" tall to the top of the handles. It is double marked with the Tressemann and Vogt underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1892-1907, as well as the T&V overglaze decorating mark in red, circa 1892-1907. It is decorated with colorful pink and yellow chrysanthemums on a ground of white and spring green. The handles and rim of the bowl are painted with gold gilding that is in excellent condition. If this is a butter tub, it is much larger than the standard size we have seen in the past and is without the drainer or insert. As a butter tub or a handled bowl, it is an excellent example of antique Limoges porcelain, and is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or repairs.

Lovely Limoges tray decorated at the Ravenwood Studio. This elegant hand painted tray is decorated with pink and yellow roses and greenery on a ground of rich green, warm pink and pale yellow. The scalloped rim of the tray is lined with lovely gold gilding. The tray measures 9 ¾" long and 3 ¾" wide. It is marked with the Ravenwood decorating mark, circa 1900-1914. Ravenwood was operated by the H.P. Sinclaire Glass Company and located in Corning, New York. The small studio had few artists, with the only known being D. Walther and M. Ernle. This tray is unsigned, and, perhaps, was painted by one of those artists. It was the custom of the Ravenwood studio to overpaint the French manufacturer's mark with gold paint, as is done on this tray. The Tressemann and Vogt underglaze white ware mark, circa 1892-1907, is still visible through the gold paint. This pretty tray is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or repairs.

Excellent Limoges plate with poppies. This outstanding plate is hand painted with large orange poppies, buds, and foliage on a ground of hunter green, mint green, and peach. The ornate and scalloped rim is decorated with rich gold gilding that is in excellent condition. Though unsigned, the plate is factory decorated. The plate measures 7 ¾" in diameter and is marked with the P. M. Mavaleix underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1908-1914, as well as the George Borgfeldt (Coronet) overglaze decorating mark in green, circa 1906-1920. Exquisite Limoges tray with roses. This wonderful tray is hand painted with pink and red roses, vines, and foliage on a ground of expertly shaded green, peach blush, blue, ivory, and taupe. The inside and outside of the tray are beautifully decorated with rose clusters. Elegant raised enamel scrollwork connects the clusters of roses on the tray's interior. The scalloped, beaded rim and open handles are decorated with gold gilding that is in perfect condition. The scalloped rim is also outlined with a blue-black color that offers a stunning contrast to the tray's lovely color pallet. The tray measures 13" long, 6" wide, and stands 2" high. It is marked with the Klingenberg and Dwenger underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1890's-1910. This lovely antique tray is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or repairs. PLEASE NOTE: In our inventory you will find a bowl (BWL-1055) and a sugar/creamer set (SCR-1023) that match this tray. The sugar/creamer set is signed by the artist, M. F. Morrill. The bowl and tray are not signed, but appear to have been painted by the same artist. The color pallet and painting style of the pieces is identical.

The charger measures 12" in diameter and is double marked with the Flambeau China (L. D. B. C.) underglaze white ware mark in green and overglaze decorating mark, also in green, circa 1890's -1914. The scalloped rim of the charger is trimmed with sponged gold gilding that shows minor wear. The charger is signed by French factory artist, Jean. This piece is double marked with the Elite Factory underglaze white ware mark in green, used after 1900, as well as the Elite Factory overglaze decorating mark in red, circa 1900-1914. Enormous and rare Limoges decorative portrait plaque. This large plaque measures 18" in diameter and is 2 ½" deep at the rim. Framing the expertly rendered scene is a beautifully ornate and heavily gilded rococo border. The vibrant gold gilding is in near mint condition. This factory decorated piece by Glebert is double marked with the Limoges, France, underglaze white ware mark in green, used after 1891, as well as the Flambeau China (L. D. B. & Co.) overglaze decorating mark in green, circa 1890's - 1900's. The tray measures 12 ½" long, 5 ½" wide, and stands 1 3/8" tall at the rim. Gorgeous Limoges charger with orchids. This beautiful charger is hand painted with cascading orchids on a dark emerald green background. The vibrant pink and yellow orchids boast deep cranberry centers, along with raised, beaded stamens. The charger's ornate and sculpted rim is heavily gilded and features feathery cartouches around its inner rim. There is minimal gold loss on the outer rim and a few of the high points of the rim. This large charger measures 12 ¾" in diameter and is double marked with the Tressemann and Vogt underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1907-1919, as well as the T & V decorating mark in red from that same period. Gorgeous Stouffer berry drainer set with nasturtiums. This berry drainer and underplate are hand painted with red-orange nasturtiums and vibrant green foliage on a ground of buttery yellow, ivory, and amber. Wide borders of rich gold gilding adorn both pieces of the set. The fluted and footed drainer bowl sits on three gilded feet. The gilding is in exceptional condition with only one minute area of loss on the rim of the drainer. Both pieces of the set are signed by listed Pickard and Stouffer Studio artist, Harry E. Michel. The underplate measures 8" in diameter and 1 ¼" deep. The berry drainer measures 7" in diameter and stands 3 ¾" tall. It is marked with the Tressemann and Vogt underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1892-1907. The underplate is marked with both the Stouffer Studio overglaze decorating mark in red, circa 1906-1914, as well as the T & V underglaze white ware mark in green, identified as "Venice", along with patent number. Gorgeous Limoges nappy with violets. This expertly rendered nappy is hand painted with stylized purple violets and foliage, radiating from a gold medallion in the center of the dish. Background colors are a rich creamy ivory and peach blush. The ornate open handle and rim of the nappy are decorated with heavy and perfect gold gilding. The nappy is initialed by the artist, but the initials are difficult to read. Please refer to the photo. The scalloped and beaded upper rim and foot are decorated with rich gold gilding that is in excellent condition. This beautifully rendered piece is signed by French-factory artist, A. Lajus. The compote is marked with the Elite Works underglaze white ware mark in green, used after 1900, as well as the Pitkin and Brooks private label in red, circa 1903-1917. Also inscribed on the bottom of the compote is a brief family history of the piece, as it was passed down through the family of the original owner.
