Gorgeous Limoges cider pitcher with apples. This large and lovely cider pitcher is expertly hand painted with red apples and colorful fall foliage on a ground of burnt orange, caramel brown, and golden amber. The rim of the pitcher is decorated with rich gold gilding that is in excellent condition. The cider pitcher measures 8 ½" from spout to handle and stands slightly more than 6" tall. It is marked with the Tressemann and Vogt underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1892-1907 and signed by the artist Jew. Compton. This handsome antique cider pitcher is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or restoration. |
