Fabulous Limoges cider pitcher with wild roses. This lovely cider pitcher is hand painted with pink wild roses and foliage on a ground of mauve, peach, lavender, and ivory. The handle and rim of the pitcher are decorated with rich gold gilding that is in excellent condition. Listed French-factory artist, J. Marsay, has signed the pitcher. It is marked with the Blakeman and Henderson overglaze exporting mark in green, circa early 1900's. The pitcher measures 8" from spout to handle and stands 6" tall at the rim. This outstanding piece is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or repairs. |
