Adorable Limoges tea caddy with forget-me-nots. This charming tea caddy is hand painted with dainty blue and pink forget-me-nots and greenery on a white ground. Delicate gold detailing adorns the raised relief design of the porcelain on the body of the caddy and on the lid. The artist has initialed and dated the piece on the bottom, J. E. M. '97' (for 1897). The right side of the tea caddy is monogrammed with the letters "E" over "M", most likely for the artist. The tea caddy is marked with the Tressemann and Vogt underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1892-1907. The caddy measures 3 ½" tall to the top of the lid. It is slightly less than 3 ½" wide. With no chips, cracks, or restoration, this antique tea caddy is in excellent condition.
