Beautiful Limoges condensed milk container with currants. This condensed milk container and lid are hand painted with vibrant red currants and greenery on a ground of soft mint green. The rims, handles, and finial are decorated with rich gold gilding that is in excellent condition. Minor wear to the gilding is noted to the top rim of the jar, where the lid rests. The artist's initial, "R", appears on the bottom of the jar. The jar is marked with the Tressemann and Vogt underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1892-1907. It stands 5 ½" tall to the top of the finial. With no chips, cracks, or restoration, this lovely condensed milk container is in excellent condition.
