Fabulous vintage chocolate set with cascading roses and daisies. Though unmarked, all pieces of this superb set are made of fine antique, translucent porcelain and are very likely Limoges in origin, circa 1900. The set includes a beautifully skirted chocolate pot and four matching cups and saucers. Each piece is beautifully hand painted with cascading roses and daisies on a ground of white and soft mint green. The daisies feature raised enamel highlights on their petals. Heavily applied gold gilding adorns the ornate handle, finial, scalloped rim, and spout of the chocolate pot, as well as the handles and rims of the cups and saucers. The gilding is in excellent condition. The very talented artist, Edith Kutney, has both initialed and signed each piece of the set. The skirted chocolate pot stands 10" tall to the top of the finial and measures over 6" in diameter at its widest point. Each saucer measures 5" in diameter, and the cups stand 3" tall. With no chips, cracks, or restoration, this superb set is in excellent condition.
