Elegant Limoges factory-decorated chocolate pot with roses. This charming chocolate pot is decorated in the "mixtion" method, which is a combination of transfer designed and hand painted highlights. Delicate sprays of pink and yellow roses adorn the pot and its lid. Sponged gold highlights accent the handle, finial, delicate fluted spout, and base of the chocolate pot. The gilding is in excellent condition with very minimal loss. The chocolate pot stands 10 ½" tall to the top of the finial. It is double marked with the Jean Pouyat factory underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1890-1932, and the Pouyat overglaze decorating mark in red, circa 1900-1907. This lovely antique chocolate pot is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or repairs. |
